Interviewer: It’s rare to meet someone whose reputation speaks louder than any introduction. Today, we have the honor of speaking with Olena (Helen) Kotelnytska, a truly outstanding talent in the world of beauty artistry. With over a decade of experience and a portfolio that spans international competitions, celebrity collaborations, and elite luxury projects, she is considered one of the most incredible masters in the industry today.
Olena, you have built an impressive career on a global level. What, in your opinion, makes your work stand out?
Olena: Thank you so much for these kind words. I believe what sets me apart is my combination of technique, intuition, and dedication. I don’t just “do brows” or “apply makeup”—I create a personal story for every client. My goal is to enhance natural beauty with precision and artistry that feels effortless, yet is backed by years of learning, practice, and international experience.
Interviewer: You’ve been recognized by some of the most prestigious awards and organizations in the industry. Could you tell us more about your recent achievements?
Olena: I’m honored to have received multiple international awards, including being named among the “TOP 10 Brow Stylists” and “TOP 10 Makeup Artists” at the XXII International Beauty Award. I’ve also had the privilege of winning titles at the UNIQUE LASH • BROW • PMU Online Championship, the Kyiv Beauty Cup 2025, and the Championship Nederland 2024/2025 in several categories, such as PRO Brow Henna and PRO Lami Brow.
Additionally, I’ve been invited to serve as a judge at international competitions, including the BROWISTA, Oscars Online Competition, WBC The World Online Beauty Championship, and several others. It’s been an incredible experience to not only compete but also recognize and encourage the talents of others in our industry.

Interviewer: You’re also known as a leader in education and innovation. Tell us more about your work as a trainer and business owner.
Olena: Absolutely. I am the proud owner of YL Studio INC, a school-studio in Miami, USA, where I train the next generation of brow and makeup artists. I’ve been developing my own eyebrow modeling methodology since 2016 and have trained hundreds of professionals in Ukraine and the United States.
I also have the honor of being a trainer for the Ukrainian national team “Union of Professionals of Ukraine”, which is something very close to my heart. Education is just as important to me as client work because it helps raise the standard of our entire industry worldwide.
Interviewer: You’ve worked on some of the most exclusive projects and with well-known celebrities. Could you share a few highlights?
Olena: Yes, I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with global celebrities, influencers, and top bloggers, including appearances at New York Fashion Week and partnerships with artists such as Adina Butar, Iryna Bilyk, Alyosha, Alina Shamanska and many others. I also ran a travel beauty project in collaboration with Luxury Travel Solutions from 2019 to 2022, which allowed me to bring high-level beauty services directly to clients around the world.
Of course, due to confidentiality agreements, I cannot mention all the names I’ve worked with, but I’m proud to have built trusted relationships with many public figures who value professionalism and discretion.
Interviewer: What’s next for you?
Olena: My mission is to continue raising the standards of beauty services globally, both through client work and education. I’m looking forward to expanding my studio’s reach, developing new training programs, and continuing to represent Ukrainian artistry on the world stage. For me, every client and every student is a new opportunity to create something exceptional.
