Jewellery brand Pandora has recently made waves in the travel retail sector with the grand opening of its first standalone store at Manchester Airport. This store marks a significant step forward in enhancing Pandora’s presence in travel retail, a space that combines the elegance of jewellery with the excitement of travel.

Designed specifically with the needs of travelers in mind, the store boasts a striking 14-metre pink-tiled façade that catches the eye from afar, complemented by two large digital screens showcasing the brand’s latest promotions and collections. This is not just another shop; it embodies a fresh visual identity, offering an immersive experience that draws customers in, whether they’re on their way to a holiday or returning home with memories to cherish.

Located within Terminal 2, the store showcases Pandora’s full range of jewellery collections. Travelers will find everything from stunning lab-grown diamonds to personalized engraving services and the brand’s latest summer collection. Additionally, for those looking to commemorate their travels, the store also features a well-curated selection of national icon travel charms, representing destinations from around the world. It’s a perfect way to ensure those travel experiences live on even after you’ve returned home.

Ross Monaghan, Pandora’s sales director for the UK and Ireland, expressed his excitement about this new venture: “We’re incredibly proud to open our first ever standalone airport store and delighted to partner with Manchester, a city that holds huge importance for Pandora in the UK. This new location comes at the perfect moment in the airport’s development and marks an exciting new chapter in our retail journey.” His words highlight not only the store’s significance but also the care and strategy behind selecting locations that resonate with the brand’s growth vision.

This Manchester opening is just the beginning. It heralds the first of three new airport stores set to launch by 2025 as part of Pandora’s expanding investment in travel retail across the UK. Following Manchester, a second Pandora store is slated to open in Gatwick Airport’s south terminal this August, with yet another set to debut in London Luton Airport in early September.

Pandora is clearly on a trajectory of growth and visibility. The company recently unveiled its fourth store on Oxford Street, a prime location that enhances its presence on one of the busiest shopping streets globally. With plans for a large expansion of its store network in the coming years, as noted in their February 2024 announcement, it’s evident that Pandora is committed to meeting the rising demand for its products.

As the world continues to navigate a complex landscape of retail and travel, Pandora’s strategy offers a glimpse into how brands can adapt and thrive. Whether you’re a frequent traveler or someone who simply loves the artistry of jewellery, the new store at Manchester Airport is poised to be a delightful stop filled with beautiful pieces and memories waiting to be made.
